\nStudents who are independent and confident, inquisitive and enthusiastic,
\nresponsible and compassionate.” subtitle_margin_b=”68px”]Bus transportation to and from QALS is offered every day to pupils. To ensure<\/span>
\ntravelling on the school bus is comfortable, safe and pleasant for all, the following<\/span>
\nrules must be adhered to:<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 No food is permitted to be consumed on the buses \u2013 only water.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 The maximum speed our buses can go is 80km\/h.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Buses will wait only 2 minutes maximum for the pupil outside the pupils\u2019<\/span>
\nhome and then leave.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Buses are not permitted to change route nor to return to pick up the pupil.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Only one pickup and drop-off address is permitted per pupil.<\/span>
\nPupils must:<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Not move around the bus once it is in motion.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Be courteous in their behavior both to each other as well as to their driver and<\/span>
\nthe bus matron.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Wait at the assigned place and time for the morning and afternoon pick up.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Be on time for departure from QLAS and from home.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Talk quietly and politely to one another.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Treat each other with respect.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Keep the bus clean.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Only depart from the bus at his\/her designated stop.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Follow the rules so as to not distract the driver.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Use headphones to listen to music.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Ask the bus matron for any help needed on the bus.<\/span>
\n\uf0b7 Number of students per bus: Maximum number of students: 16<\/span>
\nBus Matrons:<\/span>
\nOn every bus there is a bus matron whose main duty is to look after the pupils on<\/span>
\nthe bus. Pupils are expected to treat matrons, as with all adults at the College,<\/span>
\nwith the utmost of respect at all times. Matrons are also trained to maintain<\/span>
\ndiscipline and order on the bus. Bus drivers and bus matrons have all been<\/span>
\ntrained to provide a smooth and safe process for those on the bus.<\/span>
\nComplaints:<\/span>
\nIf parents have a complaint about the buses, they will be able to contact the bus<\/span>
\nmatrons. If the bus matrons would like to report an issue regarding a pupil, the<\/span>
\nbus matron will file an incident report which will then be investigated and<\/span>
\ncirculated to the respective parents if deemed necessary.<\/span>

\npupils\u2019 name, year and student ID code.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lost Property:<\/span><\/p>\n

If your child has lost something, please contact QLAS Reception<\/span>
\n(American Department)<\/span>
\nCommunication:<\/span>
\nWe will endeavor to keep you informed of any transport problems. If there are<\/span>
\nsignificant delays in transport or in cases of emergencies, parents will be<\/span>
\ncontacted by one or more of two methods: SMS Messaging System through your<\/span>
\nmobile telephones and\/or personal contact via phone-call. Parents will be able to<\/span>
\ncommunicate with the matrons of the bus via telephone on a day-to-day basis for<\/span>
\nany needs that may arise.<\/span>
\nEarly Leave:<\/span>
\nParents who would like to collect their children before the dismissal times are<\/span>
\nkindly requested to make a request by sending an email to qls@qls-egypt.com<\/span>
\nor SMS Messaging System through mobile telephones and\/or personal contact<\/span>
\nvia phone-call at least 24 hours prior to the change. If your child is not feeling<\/span>
\nwell during the school day, the QLAS doctor will request an early leave and<\/span>
\ncontact the parent to arrange an early pick up.<\/span>
\nBus changes:<\/span>
\nIf you need to change the address for your child to be picked up and dropped off,<\/span>
\nplease notify our transportation department at the earliest availability. The<\/span>
\ndeadline for this is at least 1 week before the change in address, in order to<\/span>
\nensure we have enough time to check route and bus availability.<\/span>
\nPlease note that we cannot accept one-off changes as all routes are carefully<\/span>
\nplanned in advance.<\/span>
\nRefunds:<\/span><\/p>\n

Bus fees that have already been paid are refundable, if your child has not begun<\/span>
\nto use the bus service.<\/span>
\nBus routes:<\/span>
\nRoutes and pick up times are continually monitored through GPS to ensure the<\/span>
\nbest available routes. Bus routes are scheduled to reach the maximum capability<\/span>
\nof efficiency to and from QLAS. Currently our transport network covers a variety<\/span>
